What Happened
What a great day. Finally, the heat started to break and we
got just a little rain. In the morning, we marveled at the
various egg-based concoctions the UVM chefs prepared before heading
back to the field in the big yellow bus with yet another different
driver! About noon, everyone piled back on the bus, hot and
tired. Some got off at the Shelburne shipyard and sailed back to
Burlington on the RV Melosira, UVM's research vessel. Others went
biking along the lake and explored the Winooski River floodplain.
A group visited the ECHO (science center) and another worked the
scanning electron microscope. In the evening, we began work on
our projects, testing the new computer lab.
