Day 6: Thursday - I never knew it would be so much work!
What Happened
Thursday is the most intense day of the Institute, as the students feel the pressure of completing their field work and products. Some groups went back out to Shelburne Farms, while others hit the computer lab early to begin work. By afternoon, everyone was hard at work developing interpretive products. Things got more interesting when a series of large thunderstorms rolled through Burlington, including several that produced some heavy hail and serious lightning! During a break between storms, everyone piled into the bus and headed down to North Beach on Lake Champlain for dinner and frolicking outside. As the weather closed back in again, it was back to the labs for more work late into the night. By 2am, the last work-aholics were trickling back to the dorms for a few hours of sleep before Friday's fun began!
