Some Things to think about
"Isn't it a pity, Oh isn't it a shame, How we break each other's hearts and cause each other pain. How we take each other's love, without thinking anymore. Forgetting to give back, Isn't it a pity." ~George Harrison |

I will be a senior at U-32 this coming year. I am not a sports person, per se (although I do dance...), however, I love to act. I have been in almost every play at my school during my high school, career (except two one acts which ocurred at the same time as the musicals...so it wasn't humanly possible to be in both). These include: "Marathon '33," "A Chorus Line," "Twelfth Night," "The Birds," "Delicious" (a student written/directed ten minute play), "Still Life With Iris," and "Singin' in the Rain."

EmilyKate's favorites:
Monty Python's Flying Circus: The best scenes ever are -- "The Dead Parrot," "The Hungarian Phrasebook," "The Cheese Shop," "Double Vision-A hike up Mt. Killimanjaro." And of course, "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." Oh, by the way, Eric Idle rocks.
Ravi Shankar: Thanks to the influence of George Harrison, I have been introduced in the sitar/Hindu world, and that includes Ravi Shankar -- along with his two daughters (Norah Jones and Anoushka Shankar). Ravi's music and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's teachings inspired me to learn how to play the sitar and to learn about the Hindu culture. The Branching Out program at my school allows me to do so AND earn credit for it. I haven't actually bought a sitar, however I was lucky enough to be able to borrow Tim Newcomb's. He built the sitar in India while he was tutored on how to play it. Since he's forgotten most of what he learned, my tutor will be David Pontbriand from Portland, Maine. You can visit his website HERE.
The Beatles: The best band on the face of the earth. They really have not made a single song that was terrible (Mr. Moonlight nears close to bad...but I can't bring myself to say so).
Russian:I've been taking Russian for four years, and every single year, I've enjoyed it. Anyway, listen to Russian radio at Raido 101.
