Heather Fitzgerald

Hi, I'm Heather. I came to Vermont three years ago to go to graduate school at the University of Vermont's Ecological Planning Program. Before coming to Vermont, I lived in Minnesota, Washington, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Massachusetts.
I graduated from the Ecological Planning Program in May, and since then I've been looking for black-throated blue warblers up in the Bristol Cliffs Wilderness Area. I'll be teaching forest ecology at the Community College of Vermont in the fall. Before coming to graduate school, I taught about volcanoes, tornadoes, tidal waves, and other assorted natural disasters and cool science topics to people ages 5-25, did ecology fieldwork in wetlands and prairies, and went canoeing in the Boundary Waters.
I like riding my bike, sitting by lakes, reading good books, writing, cooking and eating food with friends, climbing small mountains, taking naps, and the color orange.
