of Science and Technology

Today is Friday, June 21 and we're on our way! My name is George Hooker and I have been assigned to the "Upstream" group for this year's institute. I have been meaning to do this for years, but house painting has always been in the way. I will still be doing some of that this year, but first I will treat myself to a week here and two weeks at Fair Haven with an Intel computor workshop. Right now, let's get this web page up and running!!!

It is now Sunday, and we have been dragged through the mill. Lot's of up and down stairs at the dorm, hauling our butts around campus, and then a walking tour of the three sites. Lunch at Simpson was great and it doesn't look like anyone is going to lose weight this week! The weather was quite hot and VERY muggy. By the time we sat to watch the short movie at the Ethan Allen Homestead (an air conditioned simulation of a tavern) we were all ready for a rest. That was short lived, however, as we then all joined in a neat game called "deer" to simulate population fluctuations around carrying caspacity. A lot of running around. Then we hopped into the buses, glad to be heading back to the dorms.

After an all too brief respite (10 minutes???), we trekked off to supper. From there the boys walked over to Perkins for our web page session....and here I sit!. I may try to add a few pics from today to keep everyone informed. And.....if your name is Sweetie and you have your secret decoder ring ready here comes tonight's message:
