Platterful Mushroom (Tricholomopsis platyphylla)-
Size:2"- 5" wide, 3"- 5" tall
Description: It is wide, bellshaped, convex shape. The margin of the cap usually becomes
wrinkeled and fragile with age. The gills are tremendously fragile and plentiful.
Habitat: Found around deciduous logs, stumps, and wood debris.
This is the bottem of the mushroom. The orange object is a slug.

Violet Entoloma (Entoloma violaceum)-
Size: 1"- 2" wide, 2" - 4" tall
Description: The cap is wide, convex, and nearly flat. It is very smooth with white gills and a
white stocking stem. The color is tanish and the gills are pinkish-brown.
Habitat: On the ground in a leaf litter and mostly in mixed woods.
The right picture is a spore print from the mushroom. It was done on white paper. The print is slightly offwhite with a circular pattern. The image was darkened and contrasted so that the print could be visible on the websight.


Chroogomphus tomentosus-
Size: 3/8" - 1" cap, 3/8" - 2" tall
Description: The cap is broadly convex light yellow or orange. The stalk and gills are of a similar color.
Habitat: It is found in a mixed woods mostly clustered in an open area.
