Welcome to my home page for GIV - SAT 2001

A little bit about my science background...

I graduated from UVM in 1996 with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and Zoology. After graduating, I worked for the USDA as a wildlife specialist conducting research on rabies vector species, raccoons, skunks, foxes, and bats. Part of my job involved trapping raccoons ( and the occasional skunk! - yes, I did get sprayed more than once) and taking blood and tooth samples, along with ear tagging, weighing, and sexing the animals. One of the craziest parts of my job was collecting road kill after wet rainy nights. After two years I returned back to school (Johnson State College) to get my Masters in Education. I now teach biology and physics at Lyndon Institute.

My big back yard... Lake Willoughby only 5 minutes from my house - I spend many afternoons here hiking and swimming with my chocolate lab, Cooper. I also enjoy fishing, camping, snowshoeing, and reading outdoor adventure books.
