It is an honor to be sharing this week with the finest high school students in Vermont! Together we will be investigating science and technology through exploration, interperetation, and presentation of the Audubon Nature Center in Huntington. Our forays in the field will revolve around three sites. The staff have all kinds of experience in the natural sciences and the world! Here are some things I have done in the natural world. Ask me as many questions as you can think of!
RANGER for the TRUSTEES OF RESERVATIONS on MARTHA'S VINEYARD in Massachusetts. It involved:
WILDLIFE BIOLOGY research assistant and volunteer for all kinds of projects in the CASCADE and OLYMPIC mountains of the Pacific Northwest. This work involved the techniques of radio-telemetry, observation, estimation, vegetation evaluation, orienteering, metal live traps, mist nets, kayaking, and more to study:
EDUCATOR for the OLYMPIC PARK INSTITUTE in the OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK in western Washington State. This involved lots of really fun adventures teaching school groups of all ages from all over the country, and Elderhostels. The subjects we explored included:

I am about to complete a MASTER'S DEGREE IN ECOLOGICAL PLANNING. I love backpacking, traveling, making music and art, cooking, and being outside and in motion.
