Chris' Page for the Science and Technology

I am a second year geology graduate student at the University of Vermont finishing my thesis on the tectonic evolution of the Green Mountains of northern Vermont. We will be seeing some of the rocks which are detailed in my thesis and I hope to help you gain some insight into the deformation processes which were active over 400 Million years ago to bring us the wonderful setting we have for this year's Governor's Institute. Below are several links to my interests and my research.

Geology

This is a link to my Graduate Research Page. It is full of beautiful images of microstructures and is definitely worth a look see.

Not Geology

I am a fan. The New York are the worst team EVER! Check in here to see how far ahead Manny,

Pedro, and company are of JEE-TERR, RO-GERRR, and the rest of the Bronx Bombs.

More about me

I am from Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Geology. I am very fortunate to have grown up in Europe in a military family. I got the geology bug while living in Iceland for 2 years when I was in 3rd and 4th grade. It was an amazing experience where I witnessed erupting volcanoes, geysers, glaciers, and an expression of the mid Atlantic rift. Truly a life changing experience. I am currently looking for work in the oil and gas industry where I would work in the exploration and production of oil. It is one of the many professions where you can apply science in the "real world".
