In addition to my career-oriented outreach programs, I have been very active in community service for the past decade. I have tutored homeless and illiterate persons through the Washington Literacy Council and Jobs for Homeless People, served the handicapped and disabled through Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) and Meals on Wheels, created a local used clothes collection service with delivery to the homeless at the Center for Creative Nonviolence (CCNV), and offered free meditation classes through the Calvert County Parks and Recreation Department. I currently serve as a Eucharistic Minister for Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, my primary duty being service of the elderly at Solomons Nursing Center.
