Dr. Jon Erickson
Dr. Joshua Farley

There are two ways in which to earn the Certificate in Ecological Economics:

  1. Graduate students can earn a Certificate as part of any of the following University of Vermont masters and/or doctoral degree programs:

    • RUBENSTEIN SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES:
      (MS/Ph.D.)
    • COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS:
      Civil and Environmental Engineering (MS/Ph.D.)
    • COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND LIFE SCIENCES:
      Botany (MS/Ph.D.)
Community Development and Applied Economics (MS)
      Public Administration (MPA)
    • COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES:
      Biology (MS/Ph.D.)
      Historic Preservation (MS)
    • SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)

  2. The Certificate can also be earned as a "stand-alone" certificate for Continuing Education students, who already have an appropriate Master’s or Ph.D., or for qualified professionals with equivalent life experience. Student applications would be reviewed by an appropriately identified group of faculty. In these cases some of the courses are online courses, with plans to add more, and are highly recommended as they don't require physical access to the campus.
