Theresia Hoeck began teaching as a Lecturer in German in the Department of German and Russian in 1990, and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2004. A native of Austria, she obtained her M.A. degree in German from the University of Vermont in 1989, and wrote her M.A. thesis on "Musils Drei Frauen - Die Frau als Katalysator fuer die maennliche Identitaetssuche." She was a Teaching Assistant in German during her graduate studies here at the Department from 1987 to 1989.
Theresia Hoeck was Director of the UVM German House Program from 1999 to 2007, and she also teaches German at St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont.
