Suzanne Le Menestrel, Ph.D.

Dr. Suzanne Le Menestrel is a National Program Leader for Youth Development Research at 4-H National Headquarters; National Institute of Food and Agriculture; U.S. Department of Agriculture. Dr. Le Menestrel is a developmental psychologist with over 16 years of experience conducting research in youth development and out-of-school time. Dr. Le Menestrel provides national leadership for youth development research programs, with an emphasis on building capacity for research and evaluation and bridging research and evaluation with program development and implementation.

Prior to coming to NIFA in August 2004, Dr. Le Menestrel was the research director in the Academy for Educational Development's Center for Youth Development and Policy Research and was a research associate at Child Trends, a nonprofit research organization. Dr. Le Menestrel earned Master of Science and Doctorate degrees in Human Development and Family Studies from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from St. Lawrence University.
