Includes keynote from the Vt. Agency of Ag Veterinary Office, and information on tractor safety, teen and leadership opportunities, 4-H SPIN clubs, and open discussion time.

January 29, 2017

Hippology is the study of horses. This event, held at the Rutland High School, includes three phases to test participant knowledge:

  1. Written – answer questions on general horse knowledge.
  2. Identification Stations - identify horses (anatomy, terminology, etc) and related tools and materials from photos and actual items.
  3. Slide Tests – answer questions related to a slide photo. This event is open to all counties. All participants must be currently active members in a 4-H club. Interested non-members are welcome to come check it out, too!

July 17-21, 2017

Leadership Washington Focus (LWF) is the only national leadership development experience designed exclusively for 4-H'ers entering grades 7-9. The program will take place July 17-21, 2017 at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland, just 1 mile from Washington, D.C.
