Participants make sure all their rocket parts are on securely to ensure a successful launch.

Lyndonville--Northeast Kingdom kids have until April 7 to register for the University of Vermont Extension 4-H Tech Wizards Rocketry and Videography Camp, planned for school vacation week in Lyndonville.

If you are in Grades 4-8 and live in Caledonia, Essex or Orleans Counties, sign up now for the camp, which runs from April 14-18. It will be held at the Lyndon Town School, 2591 Lily Pond Rd., from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily with pick up by 3:30 p.m.

At camp you will work in teams to build and launch rockets, creating videos using iPads to record the launches, as well as participate in other cool group science and math activities. No experience is required, just the desire to have fun and make new friends while learning new technology skills.

Space is limited to 12 participants. Contact Cassie Tricou, AmeriCorps member, at (802) 751-8310, ext. 365 or by e-mail at by April 7 to register or to request a disability-related accommodation to participate in the camp.
