Strengthening Your Facilitation Skills

Description: Five -part training series offered simultaneously at the Berlin, Brattleboro, Burlington, Rutland and St. Johnsbury UVM Extension locations. Spring Showcase Registration Due Date (Incl. Posters and Photos)

Taking Stock

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Location: Chittenden County Farm
Description: Taking Stock: For farmers with 5 or more years experience managing an agricultural business. Leads participants through a progres check on the farm business, allowing each individual to assess how their farm is supporting their personal, financial and business goals.

Early registration: February 20, 2013 - Cost: $100
Registration deadline: March 1, 2013 - Cost $135
Scholarship assistance is available for qualified individuals.

Farm Financial Analysis

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Berlin Extension Office
Description: Farm Financial Analysis is a 2 session class designed to help farm managers begin to analyze the financial situation on their farm. This class is designed for farms that have been recording their finances for at least one year and now want to understand how they can get valuable management information from analyzing these records. The class will teach about basic financial ratios that you can calculate to understand your business better. To register please contact Christi Sherlock or Erin Clark at 802-223-2389. Cost $50. Farm Finance Office Hour

Time: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: UVM Extension, Middlebury
Description: Office hours are a time to sit with a UVM Extension Farm Business Management specialist, one-on-one, to work on the financial planning that is most important to your farm. Meetings last 1-1.5 hours and are focused on developing balance sheets, cash budgets or completing financial analysis.
