Burlington, VT – Know of a young person, age 14-21, who is ready to prepare for a future in agriculture?
Faculty in the University of Vermont’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences have received two $500,000 grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The grants are part of a USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture initiative designed to increase prosperity in rural America.

Rutland--Whether offering a farm stay experience, farm stand, pick-your-own operation or barn tours for groups, many Vermont farms are turning to agritourism, education and direct sales to supplement their farm income and increase profits.
