I am Moving, I Am Learning (IMIL): Nutrition Building Blocks Program

Program Description

IMIL is a proactive approach for addressing childhood obesity for preschool children. IMIL seeks to increase daily moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA), improve the quality of movement activities intentionally planned and facilitated by adults, and promote healthy food choices every day.

This is a fun-filled, hands-on, interactive 1-2 hour workshop focuses on increasing physical activity and promoting healthy nutrition choices for children 3 to 5. Participants receive ideas for increasing activity in their program while having fun!

Objectives

  • Learn how to increase the quantity of time children spend in moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) during daily routines.
  • Promote healthy nutrition choices to children every day.
