Our food and nutrition education information includes topics on healthy eating, food access and home food safety and preservation for consumers, families, schools and communities, and food safety for producers and processors.

Spring into Action During Physical Fitness and Sports Month
May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, so designated with the goal of encouraging individuals, families and communities to develop or maintain routines of regular physical activity and practice sound nutritional habits.
Introducing Around the Table with EFNEP
Around the Table with EFNEP is an adult curriculum designed for EFNEP nutrition educators. It is a hands-on program which teaches healthy lifestyle choices to limited-resource families with young children using a format that is engaging and fun.
The curriculum consists of six (or more) 2- to 2.5-hour sessions during which the EFNEP Nutrition Educator can cover 12 nutrition-related lessons based on the following topics: Saving Money, Picky Eaters, Planning Meals, WIC Foods, Growing Food, Eating Better, Making Healthy Choices, Storing Food, Making Healthier Recipes.
Lessons use a flexible, learner-centered approach and provide group exploration of topics designed to engage participants in learning how to shop smarter, eat healthier, save money and be active. Lessons include discussion, hands-on activities and the opportunity to make healthy recipes.
