Schedule a Webinar
Before planning a class, workshop or meeting in Blackboard Collaborate, you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with the platform by doing some of the on-line tutorials. The Technical Support page has a full library of product information and training.
Webinars are not the same as in-person presentations, and require thoughtful planning and design to be effective and engage participants.
If you are working with guest presenters, you are expected to communicate with them about the requirements and limitations of Blackboard Collaborate. It is also recommended that you plan and schedule orientation/test sessions.
Each session/classroom has a maximum capacity of 100 seats. Sessions can be scheduled by one of ten assigned supervisors. To schedule a session, submit the Webinar Request Form (Extension employees & faculty only.)
At minimum, you will need to provide the following information:
- Name/Title of the class, meeting or workshop
- Date of the event
- Start time and End time of the event
- E-mail address for a second (or backup) moderator that you are working with on the event
You will receive an e-mail which contains a Participant Link that you can send to your potential audience members.
Please Note: There is no mechanism for participant registration through Blackboard Collaborate.
