Teen Exploration

Time: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Location: UVM Campus, Burlington
Description: Teen Exploration is a 3-day, 2-night event for youth ages 13-18 (as of January 1). Live in a college dorm and experience college life, meet new friends, and participate in a wide variety of hands-on workshops and fun activities. Description: 2015 Youth Farm Safety Day, Carson Farm, 187 Montebello Road, Newbury, Vt. Open to all youth ages 12-18. Free, with lunch provided. Sponsored by the Northeast Agricultural Education Foundation, Inc.; Co-Operative Insurance Companies; Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets; and UVM Extension. Hands-on workshops: Fire extinguisher operation; How to safely handle livestock; Tractor and machinery safety; and Basic farm first aid.
