Becoming an Outdoor Family
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Location: Groton State Forest
Description: Family outdoor educational camping weekend hosted by UVM Extension and the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources' Departments of Fish & Wildlife, and Forest, Parks & Recreation. Outdoor, hands-on interactive learning activities for kids and adults with classes like canoeing, kayaking, 4-H shooting sports, hiking, camping skills, outdoor cooking, nature photography, and much more. Hands-on basic outdoor skills and experiences for the entire family. Classes and campsites are on a first-come, first-served basis. Stillwater State Park, Groton State Forest, Groton.
3-day event begins May 31 at 12 p.m., ends June 2 at 4 p.m. Cost: $175 per family. Registration deadline May 17, 2013.
