Wind Ensemble

The Spring concert by the Vermont Wind Ensemble, conducted by Christina Toner, includes three movements from Johan de Meij's epic ¿Symphony No. 1 - The Lord of the Rings¿: Gandalf, Gollum, and Hobbits. In addition, the group will play two recent pieces ("Kirkpatrick Fanfare" by Andrew Boysen and Afterlife by Rossano Galante) and two pieces that are considered gems of the wind band repertoire (the Keith Wilson arrangement of Hindemith¿s "March from 'Symphonic Metamorphosis¿ and "Incantation and Dance" by John Barnes Chance.
