Importing the Video ![]() This Quick Guide assumes that you will be capturing one continuous chunk of video from a pre-edited tape. If you plan to add titles, transitions, or effects the process gets a bit more complicated. To ensure that your video is captured as one big chunk, select the iMovie Preferences from the Edit menu, select the Import Tab, and make sure Automatically start new clip at scene break is NOT checked Cue the camera to the place where your footage starts. Then click Import. The video will be automatically imported onto the shelf and be given the name Clip 1 Importing can continue as long as there is a vacant space on your hard disk. Once you have the clip you want, you can quit iMovie. |
