Citrix Thin-Client Banner Access

Citrix allows us to provide access to the Banner system on personal computers which cannot not run the Windows-native (Traditional) Banner client.  To use Citrix, a small "Citrix Client" needs to be installed on your personal computer.  Citrix clients are available for Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms.  Citrix has the added benefit of consuming very little network bandwidth, so it works well over dial-up, DSL, and cable-modem connections.

If you need to access Banner from off-campus or from a non-Windows operating system, Citrix may be the solution for you.  However, Citrix systems are expensive to maintain.  If INB (Internet Native Banner) works for you, it is the preferred solution.

If you need Banner access from a Classic Macintosh OS (9.2.1 and earlier), Citrix is the ONLY means available for accessing Banner.

To install and configure Banner, go to http://www.uvm.edu/software/.  Download the version of the Citrix client designed for your Operating System.  Installation and configuration instructions can be found in the ETS Citrix Pages.
