The University of Vermont Exam Proctoring Center (EPC) provides alternative testing services to students with diagnosed disabilities, to qualified TRiO and International students, and students with temporary physical disabilities.

Our Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the University of Vermont Exam Proctoring Center to provide high quality testing services which ascribe to the National College Testing Association Professional Standards and Guidelines and governmental regulations that promote responsible fiscal, legal, ethical and equitable practices within an environment of continuous quality improvement, business innovation and technological advancement.

The services provided for student, faculty, staff, campus and community will be consistently rendered with an attitude of service that demonstrates value in human relationships, personal excellence, human dignity, diversity, and commitment to lifelong learning.

Students

Students with documented disabilities or certain TRiO and international students may qualify to use alternative testing services at the Exam Proctoring Center.

Students are required to abide by the EPC Usage Guidelines and the UVM Code of Academic Integrity .

Students use the
Exam Scheduling Request
to schedule tests or finals.

Faculty

Please do not send students to the EPC for testing without contacting us first;
we cannot accommodate "Walk-ins".

Faculty are responsible for getting exams to the Exam Proctoring Center. There are a variety of ways in which exams can be sent.

Preferably, Faculty Members use the Exam Proctoring Checklist to send exams and proctoring conditions to the EPC. Alternately, they may use email or bring tests to the EPC.

EPC Faculty Responsibilities and Requirements

Courtesy Exams

The EPC will administer and proctor exams as a courtesy for other educational institutions or organizations as our schedule permits.

The EPC can administer computer-based, listening, and paper-based exams. Exams will be administered according to the exam source's instructions and specifications.

You are responsible for contacting your institution to have your exam sent to UVM.

You MUST pre-register with us to take your test here.
Please allow sufficient time for your instituton to get the exam to us.
