ACCESS' guide to making your MAC read text outloud;

Step 1:

Click the apple icon in the top left of the screen

Step 2:

Select the "Speech" icon, under the System category

Step 3:

Select the voice you would like form the "System Voice" drop down menu

Step 4:

Check the third text box "Speak selected text when the key is pressed"

Step 5:

Choose what key or key combination you would like to press, to start the voice reading the selected text.

Step 6:

Select text (webpage, text document, pdf......) and then click the key selected in Step 5
