During
International Executive Housekeepers Week the University of Vermont
Custodians will receive recognition for their commitment to provide a
cleaner, safer, healthier
environment for our university community
here at UVM. Students, faculty, and staff are all encouraged to
express their appreciation to their building housekeeper during this
week of celebration.
The
theme for this weeks event will be centered on the Custodial Services
Core Values contained in the acronym "I CARE" - Integrity, Commitment,
Accountability, Respect, Excellence

International Housekeeping Week History
Since
1981 IEHA has celebrated International Housekeeping week. UVM
began celebrating this two years ago with a "thank you" lunch for
our staff.. We see this as an opportunity for
the entire UVM
community to say "thank you" to all of the custodians that service the
campus. We ask that everyone take the opportunity to thank the
custodian in their area in a way that you see as appropriate.
During
this week you will see banners throughout campus, a posting on the UVM
calendar, displays on information monitors, and posters displayed to
bring this information forward to the campus community.
Say "Thank You" to a custodian today.
