Welcome to Custodial Services
Welcome to the Custodial Services Department web page. We are currently making
modifications to the contents of our site to help you, the campus community,
obtain our services. For those of you not familiar with Custodial Services, we
are a department within the Administrative and Facilities sector in the Division
of Finance & Enterprise Services here at the University of Vermont. In all
we provide housekeeping and support services for approximately 4.6 million
square feet in 144 buildings through out the campus.
Now that you know
what we do, let me tell you who we are. Custodial Services is a diverse group
of individuals that reflect the demographics of our campus community and our
region. We are more than 200 in number with representation form 15 countries
speaking 8 different native languages. Our teams efforts contribute greatly
to the quality of life for students, faculty, staff, and UVM patrons alike. Our
team of skilled custodial service workers, supervisory and management staff
service UVM on a 24/7 basis. We work closely with other UVM departments such
as Risk Management, Physical Plant, Conference & Events Services, and The
Office of Sustainability to keep UVM as clean, safe, sustainable place to live,
learn and work. We have two things in common--We pride ourselves in our
ability to support the facility and operations needs of our world class
educational, research and public service institution and we work towards a
common ground in all that we do to support the campus community.
