To add a new link to the menu, click the add link button (top left of menu, with "+" sign) and choose the kind of link. (see figure right) The two most common links are:
A content area is a container page into which can be added organizational folders, text areas, links to documents, links to Websites, tests, links to tools such as discussion boards, blogs, wikis, etc.
Discussion Board, Groups, Communication tools, etc.
Once you have chosen the kind of link to add,
Type in the title you'd like to appear on the menu
If choosing a tool link, you must select the tool from the drop down list
Check "Available to Users"
2. Reordering Links
When you roll over the link, you see arrows appear on the left of the link. Click/hold and drag the links to rearrange their order.
Click the button at the right of the menu item (roll over the menu item to see the button), and choose the function you'd like to complete. (see figure right)
4. Disappearing Menu
The left menus are designed to collapse out of site, if desired. If your menu seems to have disappeared, roll over the left border of the page and look for a small arrow to appear; click the arrow to restore the menu position.
