What is your role in the Center for Student Ethics and Standards?
I am one of three Assistant Directors for the Center. I co-coordinate the Community Standards processes
and oversee the Intergroup Dialogue Program. I returned to UVM after a 6 year absence in 2009. Prior to this position, I worked for the Department of Residential Life from 1996-2003. Name another career you would enjoy doing other than your own and why? During my absence from UVM, I created and co-owned a landscape design and installation business. My focus was on dry stone walling. I apprenticed with the Dry Stone Wallers Association of Great Britain. I would love to be able to spend my days building stone walls, but there's not a significant enough market to sustain the craft. What brought you to UVM or
I moved to Vermont in 1996 from Minneapolis in order to explore a new part of the
country. I have always been drawn to New England for some reason.
Pink Martini. My partner and I have loved the band from their
start, and were fortunate enough to finally see them live when they were in Burlington for
the Discover Jazz Festival.
My undergrad degree is a Psychology major with a Sociology minor. I have a graduate degree in Higher Education Administration. What is your best advice for a current UVM student? Spend deliberate time exploring and discovering your true passions. Then, find a way to allow your vocation to celebrate and incorporate those passions. Do so with integrity and sincere respect for those around you who are following their own passions. What is your favorite season and why? I'm always ready for the next season, but Autumn is always too short. |
