What is your role in the Center for Student Ethics and Standards?

I am the Graduate Assistent in CSES. My responsibilites include things like co-coordinating a social justice/cultural competency curriculm for the CSES staff. I assist with recruitment and training of student leaders and also community education/outreach. I will be a hearing officer for lower level cases.

How long have your worked at UVM?

This is my first position at UVM. I started my CSES work in August, 2008.

What brought you to UVM or Vermont?

I am pursuing a Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs.

What's in your CD player right now?

CD player? When I listen to a CD, it is most offen a mix created for me by a friend. Usually the music is some combination of alternative/indie rock. My favorite mixes usually include really obscure bands that most people haven't heard of, including me.

What did you major in during college?

I majored in Urban Studies, a combination of sociology, economics and political science with attention to the development of metroplitan areas.

What is your best advice for a current UVM student?

My advice is to focus on one thing at a time. It is really easy to get bogged down by the many demands placed on a student. It can be really counter productive to get stressed out about tasks and responsibilities but if you take a step back, realize that you can only be doing one thing at a time and just focus on what is right in front of you, things get done faster and the list can seem much more manageable.

What is your favorite season and why?

I can't pick just one. I love winter sports, but the heat and sun of summer. What I can say is that I really don't care for spring or more precisely, mud season.
