Get to know Laura
What is your role in the Center for Student Ethics and Standards?
I am one of the Assistant Directors in the Center for Student Ethics & Standards.
I co-cordinate the Community Standards Program with Troy Headrick and I am the coordinator of the
Project Discovery program.
I have been working at UVM in the Center for Student Ethics & Standards since October of 2007.
Name another career you would enjoy doing other than your own and why?
I would choose to be a special education teacher for elementary school students. When I first began college this was my plan, until I realized how much I enjoyed Student Affairs. I do however still really enjoy working with kids whenever I have the opportunity.
What brought you to UVM or
I came to Vermont to attend college.
I currently have a cd called "Downeast Standard Time" in
my CD player. This CD is from an acapella group in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Recently I have had a Smittens CD playing often. Both of which I really enjoy!
I have an undergraduage degree in Psychology and a Master's of Science in Administration.
What is your best advice for a current UVM student?
Get involved, challenge yourself, be safe, and don't hesitate
to ask for help.
Fall is my favorite season! The foliage is beautiful and I
enjoy apple picking!
