Burlington Partnership for a Healthy Community - Food Assessment of Burlington

Last summer, CRS was contracted by the Burlington Partnership for a Healthy Community to conduct a healthy food assessment of Burlington. The goal of the project was to make evidence-based policy recommendations for improving Burlington’s infrastructure in supporting access to healthy food and good nutrition. CRS Research Specialist Florence Becot and CRS director and CDAE chair, Jane Kolodinsky, conducted the assessment with the help of the CDAE research methods class graduate students. The result: a 111-page comprehensive report which includes the results of a survey of Burlington residents, interviews of stakeholders in the community and food store surveys.
