Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) Grant Program

Researchers at the Center for Rural Studies are evaluating the process and impact of two grantees of the US Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training (TAACCCT) Grant Program. Kennebec Valley Community College in Fairfield, Maine is implementing a sustainable agriculture and culinary arts 2-year degree and certificate programs. Closer to home, Vermont Technical College of Randolph, Vermont has developed the Vermont Institute of Applied Agriculture and Food Systems to offer courses and certificates in a variety of agriculture and food production topics. In both cases, the research team from CRS is gathering data from the program stakeholders—students, faculty and area employers—to develop a comprehensive look at the impact of each program.
