Resources and Expertise to Support People and Communities

What do your stakeholders value, think, or desire? CRS is a leader in scientific surveying and polling throughout Vermont. CRS can help you choose the sampling method and survey instrument most appropriate for your specific needs and is capable of implementing mail, phone, and online surveys as well as analyzing and reporting results. CRS conducts the annual Vermonter Poll, a state-wide telephone poll in which organizations can sponsor questions once or over multiple years.

In Our Partner's Words

"What [CRS] helped me realize is that I needed a baseline to start from and then the next generation of the evaluative process for the project could build upon this first poll. I didn't want multiple choice, I didn't want to feed them answers. I wanted the pollsters to tell me something. And they did."
-Bridget Butler with the Voices For the Lake Program

A Snapshot of Recent Survey Research Projects

  • Transportation and Seasonality
As part of CRS' work with the Transportation Research Center at the University of Vermont, CRS is conducting a seasonal transportation survey throughout New England. This on-going survey is being conducted online and by telephone.
  • 2009 Vermonter Poll
CRS completed the annual Vermonter Poll telephone poll for 2009. In addition to the annual questions that CRS presents to Vermonters, CRS inquired about access to computers and Internet connectivity. Organizations may sponsor questions on the annual Vermonter Poll or contract CRS to complete a stand-alone survey at any time of the year.
  • Council on the Future of Vermont, 2008
CRS implemented a statewide telephone survey in March of 2008 to gauge Vermonters' opinions on a specific set of values and challenges initially identified during a series of public forums hosted by the Council on the Future of Vermont.
