Interdisciplinary Watershed Field Camp

Under support from the National Science Foundation, we are piloting a new way of teaching about watersheds, a summer field camp that traces water, sediment, and biota from the heights of Mt. Mansfield to the depths of Lake Champlain. The camp is field-based and runs for several weeks in the summer. It's taught by faculty and students from four different units on campus and exposes students to different and varied ways of thinking about the environment in which they live.
