Attorney General's Obesity Initiative

On Wednesday, February 17, 2010, the Attorney General hosted the initial meeting to launch a new multi-disciplinary public initiative to identify and develop actions to complement the work of the Departments of Health and Education to address obesity in Vermont. More than 80 stakeholders will participate in the initiative.

Yale University’s Dr. Kelly Brownell, a prominent expert on the subject, presented on “Obesity: States as Game Changers.” Representatives from the Vermont Department of Health and Department of Education outlined current programs in their respective departments.
