Summer is a wonderful time to be in Vermont. Burlington is a pedestrian friendly city making rental cars unnecessary.
Keep in mind that we have exceptional on-campus lodging for participants in the joint meeting of the Society of Nematologists and Soil Ecology Society. It is not a typical college dorm.
The University Heights complex is new and received the 2007 Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. That means it is designed to be energy efficient and incorporate local and recycled construction materials. It is a showcase of environmentally friendly features including a green roof and plenty of natural light. Guests have the privacy and comfort of a hotel plus use of lobby areas and a fireplace lounge. You also receive the perks of an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet each morning and the convenience of a walking distance to all the meeting functions. Besides, a biodiesel-powered city CCTA bus, takes you from the airport to your lodging for a fare of only $1.25. Riders between the ages of 6-18 and 60 or older can ride for $0.60 one-way. Take the UMall-Airport Route (1) using the Main & Univ Hghts stop (https://www.cctaride.org/).
