After 20 years in clinical practice, Dr. Jean Szilva joined the UVM community in 1994. She taught undergraduate anatomy and physiology as well as graduate gross anatomy and neural sciences. Before her retirement from the College of Medicine, she was given numerous teaching awards including the Kroepsch-Maurice Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Szilva currently teaches pathophysiology and pharmacology for D.P.T. students.
