Preparation for a Professional Career in Communication Sciences

As you prepare for your professional career as a speech-language pathologist, there are some things you will want to know about the national certification process through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) . Check out the links below to learn more about (1) preparing for your clinical fellowship year upon graduation with your master's degree and (2) the steps for completing the required paperwork to receive your Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

If you are staying in Vermont, you will be required to be licensed through the Vermont Department of Education. Consult the links below about licensure in Vermont schools. You'll also find information here about endorsements available for educators and the standards expected for speech-language pathologists who practice in Vermont.
