Mammary Gland Biology and Breast Cancer

Profile

Zhongzong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Science.

Research Description

The research in my lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of mammary gland development and breast cancer. We are particularly interested in the roles of the estrogen receptors and their interaction with growth factor receptors in mammary gland development and malignancy. Another interest is the role of g-synuclein, a candidate oncogene, in breast cancer progression.
