I graduated from SUNY Oneonta in the spring of 2009 with a B.S. in Molecular & Cellular Biology and then spent several years working as a research technician before joining the CMB program in 2012.In the spring of 2013 I joined the Wargo lab, which utilizes genetic approaches to understand how Gram negative bacteria recognize and respond to eukaryote-derived compounds. My current research focuses on understanding how Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia recognize and exploit host derived compounds during colonization of the lung.
