Application Information

As of July 1, 2007, applications to UVM will only be accepted electronically. Applications for admission must be accompanied by a non-refundable $40 online application fee. The application form requires three letters of recommendation, official transcript of all colleges attended, and a personal summary of interests (statement of purpose) submitted in the same envelope. In addition, Graduate Record Examination scores in Verbal and Quantitative skills, taken no earlier than five years prior to the date of application are required. Students with an average score of less than 60 percentile on these tests will not be accepted for matriculation. GRE Subject Tests are not required. Residents of countries outside the United States in which the principal language is not English, will be required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Waterman Building and Converse HallA student applying for financial aid beginning in the fall semester must submit her or his application as soon as possible, to ensure adequate time for processing and evaluation by the Recruitment Committee. Although an interview is not required, we find it advantageous, especially if the applicant is requesting financial aid.

This year, we will conduct interviews on Friday, February 15, 2008 and Friday, March 7, 2008.
