I graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a B.S. in Microbiology in 2012. As an undergraduate I researched the role of Chlamydia pneumoniae infection in allergic airway disease. I then joined the Cellular, Molecular and Biomedical Sciences graduate program in the fall of 2012. I am currently working on my graduate research in the laboratory of Dr. David Kerr. My research focuses on the epigenetic regulation behind the innate immune response in bovine mastitis. Beyond science, I am interested in a variety of outdoor activities, including biking, hiking, skiing, kayaking and running. My other interests include literature, film, cooking and traveling.
