First, congratulations to all of the seniors who graduated this weekend! For some, you made the decision almost a year ago to apply to graduate school, others have been attending job fairs and applying for jobs, and still others haven’t had time to think about it. Applying to any graduate program should not be without a lot of thought and soul searching!
Born and raised in Vermont, I received my B.S. in Biology from Saint Michael's College in 2009. After working many jobs outside of the Biology field, I volunteered in Dr. Beth Bouchard's lab studying Factor V endocytosis in megakaryocytes and then worked in Dr. Wolfgang Dostmann's lab as a technician researching PKGIa activation. I became a graduate student in the CMB program in 2013 and finally joined Dr. Dostmann's lab as his graduate student. When I'm not in the lab, I enjoy hiking, reading, and cooking with my daughter.
