Vermont's Comprehensive Statewide Source for International Education

UVM’s International Education Clearinghouse is the first comprehensive statewide resource for international education in Vermont.  As proposed during the 2005 Vermont International Education Summit, the purpose of the site is to provide all Vermonters, educators, students and community members, a source of information on all the various international education initiatives, programs/organizations, services and current events. The site currently offers information about and links to the various programs, organizations and services available in-state for educators, students and the public.  Furthermore, the clearinghouse has been developed in order for students, educators, administrators and community members to learn about the different learning opportunities in Vermont in the area of international studies.

Funded by the Bay and Paul Foundations, this website will create a new forum for educators, students, professionals and community members. Information on programs, organizations, services are sorted by educational levels and needs.  To find out how the information on this site applies to your school or community, please visit the FAQs page.  Fore more information on why international education matters, please visit InternationalEd.org.

A page for the business community is also in the works.Vermont's business sector has been working with internationally for the several years. By making the connection between the business and education fields, greater opportunities will be available for both communities in the future.

To help you navigate through the site, a drop menu is available at all times at the left-hand side of the page. The different pages list information for:

  • Educators: list of organizations and/or programs offered to administrators and teachers which include exchange programs, curriculum materials, as well as a list of Model Schools--K-12 institutions which offer international studies regularly in their classrooms and/or through student/teacher exchange.
  • Students: information on programs for K-12, Undergraduate and Graduate students is available.
  • Community Members: a list of international programs and services open to the general public.
  • Calendar of Events: provides basic information and links to the various international events going on throughout the state and the most current news and annoucements on programs and services.
  • Also included in this site is a list of the different UVM programs and centers for international education.

For a complete list of the site's information, please go to the Resource Index. We hope that this site will help promote greater interest in international education and studies throughout the state!

This site is dedicated to supporting the growth of Vermont's international education community. If you are involved in a program involved in international education or are aware of a program not listed, please contact Weiwei Wang. Thanks!
