Welcome to the College of Education and Social Services (CESS) at the University of Vermont. The goal of CESS is to instill in all of our students a habit of learning, a willingness to engage the mind, and the tools to actively participate in and contribute to the various communities in which one might live and work. We are committed to assisting our students in their quest to become professionals who serve the education, social development, and human service needs of institutions, young people, families, and communities in Vermont, the nation and globally.
The College of Education and Social Services is comprised of the Department of Integrated Professional Services, Department of Education, Department of Social Work, and the Center for Disability and Community Inclusion. We offer a broad range of programs ranging from early childhood to higher education, the individual to the family, and cognitive development to physical development.
It is my pleasure to invite you to browse through the College of Education and Social Services Web site to learn about our programs, mission, and philosophy. If you have any questions about any of our programs, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Fayneese Miller, Ph.D.
