Our Department hosts Master of Science (M.S.) and Ph.D. programs in Electrical Engineering, a M.S. program in Biomedical Engineering, and a Ph.D. program in Bioengineering. Our programs have the flexibility so that students can align their studies and research to their interests. Our graduates have gone on to hold research and/or managerial positions in major technology firms and to become faculty members at other institutions.

The M.S. in Biomedical Engineering program was developed with UVM’s world-class Larner College of Medicine. The Ph.D. in Bioengineering program is an interdisciplinary and multi-departmental offering which leverages expertise from across the University, including its world-class Larner College of Medicine.

UVM is a small research university which means that our students are able to interact with mentoring faculty on a near-daily basis. This individualized attention has enabled students to contribute significantly to new research.
