Community Development and Applied Economics

Honduras

Dr.Dan Baker has been bringing students to Honduras since 2000 to work on a variety of integrated Community Development projects including Appropriate Technology for small-scale sugar producers, Elementary Education, Women's Small Business, Water Systems Engineering, and Ecotourism. Students have the opportunity to experience working on on-going international projects, and learn valuable applied project planning and community development skills. The course is made up of two parts: a preparation class during the spring semester, and a two-week implementation trip to Honduras in May/June.  Please visit the Classwork and Project sites to learn more about this exciting program!
