- "Diet for a Small Planet," published in the Burlington Free Press March 10, 2008, highlights CDAE graduate student Amanda Goldstein's idea to offer refugees a chance to learn to negotiate nutrition in Vermont's seasons and stores.

- On behalf of DECA/Delta Epsilon Chi, and The George Washington University Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence, Kathleen Liang was congratulated for her award-winning submission to the E-Learning Program and receiving 6th Place for Dollar Enterprise.
- Stipends Available for CDAE Students! Up to five competitively awarded stipends of up to $500 are available for CDAE students (majors and perhaps minors) who are registered for CDAE international courses with projects in St. Lucia, Belize, and Honduras. Click here for an application form . To complete the application, you must submit the application form, evidence of financial need, and a statement (1-2 paragraphs) as to why you should be a recipient. Deadline for January travel is November 1. Deadline for May travel is March 1. Submit all materials to Tina Haskins in the main CDAE office, 205 Morrill Hall. Good Luck!
